This is the first piano and percussion duo recital played by pianist Wong See Yee and percussionist Yap Siu Yan. Both of us have known each other for a long time and we are both passionate about exploring a new duo possibility. Hence, this not-so-common duo group is formed. By presenting this recital, we hope that we can add a new color to the current music scene in Malaysia. We also wish to show the Malaysia audience the vast variety of music and instruments that can be presented through this duo.

Both of us are emotionally affected by the major natural disasters that are happening more and more often nowadays. We really want to help raise awareness of the environmental issues through music as this is something that we deeply care. However, we believe that fear is not what we need to help save the world; love is. We really hope to send out a gentle and warm note about these issues through music, which is something we are both deeply in love with.
